A PLEDGE !!

Sometimes I am astonished by what nature has given to us, and we keep ruining it as days go by.

This year I have decided to share it with as many people and my family that "I will not harm the environment which includes plants, animals, water, air and other organisms".

I will discontinue using Fire Crackers from this year onwards, which we use for our pleasure and for the environment at stake. Noticed more recently that Fire Crackers have become the disastrous source of displaying a happy moment in the family for millions of people across our country and around the world for example : Marriages, A Win in the game of Cricket, Parties, Birth of a Child etc...etc. Leave aside "DIWALI" in the "Indian Context" for which Fire Crackers were actually meant to be used.

I will discontinue using Plastic bags for carrying groceries...instead if I am really a style freak till the grocers shop!!! I will accompany myself with a nice cloth bag.

I will not waste WATER. Even a drop of it...Remember...My nanny always told me not to waste it..drop by drop fills a pool of bucket! And thus, if I do not use a bucket to fill that drop, it will be wasted!

Its only a few things in life I can manage a few years down the line to make this World... a bit ...better place.

And this is for all those people out there who can make a difference !
